This update supersedes CDI’s Middle East statement dated 17th March 2026 CDI has reviewed the latest “British Foreign & Commonwealth” (FCDO), travel advise and updated its statement regarding conducting CDI inspections in the Middle East region. Consequently, CDI “WILL” resume CDI inspections in • Bahrain • UAE • Qatar However, in view of the ongoing/uncertain situation in the Middle East, the FCDO travel advise still advises against all but essential travel to the following countries/areas • Southern Saudi Arabia • Kuwait • Israel • Egypt : (Sinai, Eastern part of Ismailiyah Governorate, Western Desert) • Iran • Iraq • Syria • Yemen • Jordan : (Jordan/Syrian Border) 1. CDI inspections that are requested in other CDI Middle East Zone regions, will be considered only on a case by case basis 2. CDI “WILL NOT” be conducting any CDI inspections in the regions listed above due to safety reasons 3. CDI will continue to monitor and review this situation and update as required General Manager CDI |
