Middle East Situation 1st March 2026

In view of the escalating situation in the Middle East, the British Foreign & Commonwealth travel advise (FCDO) now advises against all but essential travel to the following countries/areas

• Bahrain
• Southern Saudi Arabia
• UAE
• Kuwait
• Qatar
• Israel
• Egypt (Northeast including Port Said)
• Iran
• Iraq
• Syria
• Yemen

There is a heightened risk of regional tension, escalation could lead to travel disruption and other unanticipated impacts.

1. CDI inspections that are requested in other CDI Middle East Zone regions, will be considered only on a case by case basis

2. With immediate effect we CDI will “NOT” be conducting any further CDI inspections in the regions listed above due to safety reasons

CDI will continue to monitor this situation and update as may be required
