For the attention of all CDI Marine Ship Operators, Chemical Company Participants and StakeholdersFurther to CDI’s announcement advising that a new functionality will take effect on the 1st May 2025 to enable a Ship Operator to be able to upload documents direct to any Ship Inspection Report Observation
- CDI advises a change in this release date due to constructive feedback received CDI has received constructive feedback in regards to the planned phasing out of the CDI Marine Ship File and Ship Document file. Having listened to this feedback and taking it into account, CDI will be i. holding release of the new functionality to be able to upload documents direct to any Ship Inspection Report Observation ii. holding the phase out of the ship file and ship document file This is to enable CDI to put in place an additional associated functionality to enable ship operators to be able to add “subsequent comments” to an active SIR after the SIR is active, in addition to the “Initial Comments” before the SIR is released CDI will revert with further details in the coming weeks. In the meantime: The new Import HVPQ XML and Export HVPQ XML facility A new “Import HVPQ XML” and “Export HVPQ XML” facility is now released and active in the CDI-Marine database (similar to the “Import Crew Matrix XML” & “Export Crew Matrix XML” buttons) to enable a ship operator to import/export their completed HVPQ in an easier manner, rather than via the CDI-Marine HVPQ Report Editor software. • However, the CDI-Marine HVPQ Report Editor software is retained, as this is required for the Ship Operator to edit their own HVPQ and to create/edit the online Self Inspection Document (SID). |
